Austin Champion is a business and intellectual property trial attorney in Dallas, Texas. He primarily works with companies and individuals involved in complex, high-stakes business and intellectual property disputes. Austin also advises businesses and entertainers in connection with building, protecting, and enforcing their brands.

Austin’s diverse litigation practice has allowed him to represent plaintiffs and defendants in the telecommunications, entertainment, finance, energy, technology, software, manufacturing, medical, real estate, and retail industries. Austin has successfully prosecuted and defended claims for trade secret misappropriation and breach of restrictive covenants, fraud, false advertising, unfair competition, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duties. Austin regularly represents individuals and companies in intellectual property disputes involving claims for patent infringement, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and violations of the Lanham Act.

Combining his business and intellectual property practices, Austin works closely with corporate clients to pursue and defend claims for indemnification arising out of intellectual property disputes.

Austin supports his community through his work with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. Through this program, Austin donates a portion of his time pro bono to indigent residents of Dallas County, providing them with legal representation and access to the Dallas County court system.

Austin was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he served on the SMU Law Review Association and graduated with honors. Austin lives in Dallas with his wife, Skylar, and two children.
