Thaís Dourado is a commercial litigation associate who brings a dynamic and diverse perspective to her legal practice from her international background. With many years of legal practice in both Brazil and the United States, Thaís has advised and represented several corporate clients, providing strategic legal solutions for their complex business disputes. Thaís’ expertise includes contractual matters, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud and unfair business practices, as well as business transactions, securities regulation, compliance, international arbitration, bankruptcy and taxation.

Thaís’ experience practicing law in different countries made her flexible and adaptable in her approach to legal issues and well-prepared to handle various legal challenges. As a foreign-trained attorney, Thaís has the ability to understand different cultures and communicate well with clients from diverse backgrounds. She speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese and is learning Chinese Mandarin to better serve clients with business operations or interests in China. This knowledge and proficiency in numerous languages allows her to successfully navigate complex international business transactions and disputes.

Thaís supports her community by offering pro bono legal advice to Brazilian women living in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Thaís was born and raised in Brazil, where she received her law degree from Universidade Federal de Goiás Law School. She then moved to the U.S. and graduated from the University of Miami Law School LL.M. program. Thaís is licensed to practice law in Texas, New York and Brazil.
